Race Car Equipment
Race car equipment can be quite different than what you would typically use for your everyday grocery-getter. The performance parts for race cars are designed to maximize the possible output of the engine and the overall abilities of the vehicle. Stock (OEM) parts, on the other hand, are designed to make the vehicle more efficient and comfortable to drive.
Suspension parts are among the most common race car equipment. A performance-oriented suspension can greatly improve the cornering and overall handling abilities of the car. However, these systems tend to be much stiffer than a stock set-up, and as such they tend to accent any bumps you might encounter on the road.
Many pieces of race car equipment are designed for the interior of the car. Roll cages and 5-point harness systems are often the first interior upgrades a street racer will make to their vehicle. Racing seats and aftermarket steering wheels are also common upgrades.
