Racing Gear

There are many pieces of racing gear designed specifically for the driver. These are usually items of apparel and, while not always necessary for the amateur, are essential for the professional driver. They offer protection as well as functionality.

As with many other sports, shoes are an often overlooked part of standard racing gear. Racing shoes are designed to be comfortable, flexible, and provide the necessary traction to avoid slipping off of the pedals. Like other pieces of racing apparel, they should also be fire resistant.

Racing gear also includes racing suits. These are designed to be lightweight and provide a high degree of breathability and fire resistance. A quality racing suit can be quite expensive as well.
